Welcome to Wroughton Amateur Swimming Club !

We hope you will find our website informative and that it gives a good idea of what to expect from membership of this friendly and experienced Swim Club.

Whether you are a swimmer looking to compete or train; or indeed a parent wishing to help your children follow their passion for swimming, then we know you will find the WASC a great place to hone yours or their skills.

The site will not answer all your queries but will give you a good insight into the workings of the club and whether you are new to the Club or an existing member we will cover the following:

  • Latest Club News – on our News page(s)
  • General information about the Club – it’s Constitution, Rules, Child Safeguarding Policies, Data Protection Procedures, Codes of Conduct and Policies;
  • Links to other swimming related sites, including Wilts County ASA, ASA South West Region and of course the ASA – the National Governing Body. The Club is affiliated to all of these Organisations, and as a result, we are equally bound by their Rules and Regulations;
  • Details of our Committee Members, together with a contact facility should you need more information;
  • A Club Calendar which details all club activities – training dates, competition & social programmes etc;
  • Details of Club merchandise which can be purchased through the site;
  • Information about our successful Training Camps abroad;
  • News section direct from the ASA as it happens.

We operate WASC from the 4 lane 25m pool at Ridgeway Leisure Centre, Wroughton; although we also have morning sessions at Milton Road Hydro and the Link Centre. The Club was founded in 1973 and is relatively small with just over 100 swimmers.

We pride ourselves on being a competitive but friendly Club, which offers the opportunity for every swimmer to achieve their full potential within a structure that enables them to compete at their own level.

All of our staff are well qualified volunteers – we have an exceptionally strong team of teachers, coaches and administrators who are dedicated to getting the very best out of everyone. Experience within the WASC staff goes all the way to the highest level of International competition.

Wroughton ASC are able to confirm that our membership fees remain some of the lowest in the County. This is due, not only to careful financial management, but the fact that out team all give freely of their time as volunteers.

Our annual fee for a Junior member is currently £235, but if you join during the year a system of pro-rata payments can be arranged – simply contact our Membership Secretary who will be able to take you through our fee structure.

Interested in joining,  then please Contact us with any questions or to arrange a visit to the club night.
