English Schools’ Swimming Association Team Championships

Josh & Adam

Congratulations to Josh Ricketts and Adam Wright who made up half of the Ridgeway School Intermediate Boys 200m Freestyle Relay team that took part at the ESSA Championships at the London Aquatic Centre on Saturday 21st November.

The Ridgeway School were one of thirty schools who qualified to compete in the Intermediate Boys’ 200m Freestyle event, and with a regional qualifying time of 1.54.99 the Ridgeway team entered the national final in 21st position.   A great performance from all four of the boys saw them knock a whole 3 seconds of off their regional event time and they finished 16th overall with a time of 1.51.99.

This was a fantastic opportunity for the boys to compete in the London 2012 Olympic Venue and our thanks go to the staff at Ridgeway School for giving up their time to make it possible.
