Safety & Discipline

Safety

The Club recognises that safety is of paramount importance and does all it can to ensure the safety of swimmers in and out of the water. The following rules must be followed:

* Swimmers must at all times follow the instructions of coaches, club officials or pool staff in respect of all safety measures. * Please advise the coaches if your child has difficulty understanding what is being said to them. * Swimmers are not permitted to enter the pool unless instructed to do so by the coaching staff. * Swimmers should never run on poolside or other wet areas such as the changing rooms. * Please do not allow your child to swim within one hour of eating a meal.

Discipline

Swimmers are expected to respect their coaches and other swimmers, both in and out of the pool, and abide by Wroughton ASC’s swimmers Code of Conduct.  If a swimmer is in breach of the Code of Conduct it will be dealt with initially by the squad or Head Coach. A written report of the incident will be sent to the Club Secretary and the Chairman.  The Executive Committee will review each incident and take further action as deemed necessary.
