The Club

Welcome to Wroughton Amateur Swimming Club !  We hope this website gives you and your parents a better idea of what to expect from being a member of our Club and also provides information for our existing members.

Wroughton Amateur Swimming Club (ASC) is Swindon based with about 110 swimmers.  Founded in 1973, and originally based at Ridgeway Sports Centre, we also run training sessions from The Link and Milton Road pools. We pride ourselves in being a competitive, but friendly club, which aims to give every swimmer the opportunity to compete at their own level.

The Club also organises a range of social activities that make it a little different to other swimming clubs.  We believe it is important that swimmers enjoy being part of the Club and in fact our Club Night on a Friday at the Ridgeway Leisure Centre may often seem like a ‘youth’ club, both before and after the training session.

We have a strong team of qualified coaches, teachers and officials who are dedicated to get the very best from our swimmers. The management and the administration of Wroughton ASC is carried out entirely by volunteers who freely give many hours of their time to help our members enjoy and improve their swimming.
